For 3 months now, I’ve asked myself why has God brought us to Houston? What is the reason? Well, we have an answer! Erik got hired at the Christian radio station, KSBJ!! Not just A radio station, but THE ONLY Christian radio station in Houston. It’s all still so fresh to us but here are a few perks:
1. save on gas money-it’s only 4 miles from our house! (About $100+/mon)
2. save on lunches out-they cater in most days and it’s only 4 miles from our house (About $100+/mon)
3. 8:30-4:30 work days-2 extra hours of family time a day
4. With him getting home earlier the kids can finally be in extra curricular activities in the evenings
5. Insurance through him will be $160 less a month for our family
6. He’ll get to work in a Christian environment where they value family
7. 18 days of vacation/yr vs only 10 at his old job
8. Pay is more than what we first expected and more than what he made in DM but less than at Rafte.
9. FREE concerts for our family!
This is just a start but we are so excited that God opened this door for him. I sort of tripped across the job opening on the KSBJ website one day. I printed it off and then forgot to tell Erik about it. He found the paper I printed about a week later and now look!
